We deliver to each area once a week.

Ordering and delivery tips
  • Call in advance to confirm scheduling.
  • The best time to call is mid-day; phones are busiest in the early morning and late afternoon.
  • Your order will arrive on your delivery day roughly within the same two-hour time frame each week.
  • Let us know if you need to reschedule your normal time. We can't promise, but when we can we'll change the time of day for your delivery.
  • When you call in late to add an item, we will do our best to include it with your delivery, but some items may not be available.
  • If we are off schedule by more than two hours because of rescheduling, traffic, weather or other circumstances beyond our control, we will call to let you know.
  • You will find the groceries easy to put away because your order is packed in four stages: dry goods, refrigerated, frozen and produce.

Holiday Schedule,  January 2008 - January, 2009

Top Banana is closed for six holidays during the year. Please see the schedule below for changes to your normal call-in and delivery days.

May 26, 2008 - Memorial Day - CLOSED

  • If your normal call-in day is Monday, May 26 your holiday call-in day will be Tuesday, May 27.
  • If your normal delivery day is Wednesday, May 28, your holiday delivery day will be Thursday, May 29.

July 4, 2008 - Independence Day - CLOSED

  • If your normal call-in day is Wednesday July 2, your holiday call-in day will be Tuesday, July 1.
  • If your normal delivery day is Friday, July 4, your holiday delivery day will be Thursday, July 3.

September 1, 2008 - Labor Day - CLOSED

  • If your normal call-in day is Monday, September 1, your holiday call-in day will be Tuesday, September 2.
  • If your normal delivery day is Wednesday, September 3, your holiday delivery day will be Thursday, September 4.

November 27, 2008 - Thanksgiving - CLOSED

  • If your normal call-in day is Wednesday, November 26, your holiday call-in day will be Tuesday, November 25.
  • Your delivery day remains the same – Friday, November 28.

December  21, 2008 – December 27, 2008 – Holiday Week - CLOSED
           Prince George's, Charles and Lower DC Customers ONLY

  • All orders called in on Monday, December 22.
  • All deliveries on Wednesday, December 24. 
  • No Wednesday call-in or Friday delivery

December  28, 2008 – January 3, 2009 – New Year's Week - CLOSED
           Upper DC and Mongomery Customers ONLY

  • All orders called in on Monday, December 29.
  • All deliveries on Wednesday, December 31. 
  • No Wednesday call-in or Friday delivery

* Ordinarily we are closed during the Christmas/New Year Holiday but in order to serve you  better (and for us to enjoy the holidays) we are trying this new schedule

Bad Weather Guidelines
  1. Listen for Public Schools Weather-related Closings
  2. Public Schools opening late or closed:  Delivery may be later than normal or rescheduled.  If deliveries will be more than 2 hours late or rescheduled you will be contacted.
  3. Local Government closed:  Top Banana will call to reschedule
